Manikkawatha is a Sinhala televised drama currently broadcast on ITN the weekend. This TV show, based on the novel by Manikkawatha and Sudath Rohana by Mahinda Prasad Masimbula laureate, to adapt the name of the novel as the name of the television series. The story describes the history of Sabaragamuwa province in Sri Lanka in 1880, showing its history, culture, civilization and language. In addition, it draws certain battles from the most difficult waged by a group of Sri Lankans at one time when the societies were still developing and where people were completely dependent on agriculture.
